dramatic play center

This blog has ideas for organizing, stocking, and storing your center materials. The teacher has information for 17 different centers. Intentional play via choice centers are the main way preschoolers and toddlers should learn. These resources will help you set up developmentally appropriate centers.

I enjoyed the post regarding behavior. The teacher talks about separation anxiety, making good choices, and paying attention. She also has a section filled with teaching tips. The most important section for me are the New Teacher Tips.

The item that caught my interest on this site was creative uses for bookshelves in the classroom. This is important when working in a small space. The teacher uses as much of the bookshelves as possible including the back and sides. Magnetic paint can add to how you use the bookshelves.

Yarn Drawings by Teach PreschoolThe teacher has creative activities including pool noodle water hose play, yarn drawing, and cotton ball clouds. Her activities are different than the typical activities found in a preschool class.
